John started his business career as a graduate trainee for Volvo Cars. Following several years in the automotive sector he moved into the world of Information Technology just as internet was beginning to take off. As Channel Manager for Dataware Technologies he recruited and collaborated with a range of international systems integrators before the company was acquired by OpenText.
In 2000 John joined Intelligentsia research consultancy to lead their emerging Technology Practice. Rapid demand for their bespoke services from Fortune 500 clients led to a relocation to New York to establish the company's US headquarters.
After a successful spell in the USA John returned to the UK in 2006 to establish Business Builders. Business Builders delivered technology and services to marketing automation pioneers. In 2011 Business Builder was sold to DemandGen International. John stayed on as a UK Managing Director and built a team of modern marketers able to attract companies like Google, Getty Images, Cisco and NetApp to its client roster.
Following the sale of DemandGen to Oracle platinum partner EC4U John began working as an independent consultant and business advisor. During his career he has helped numerous start-ups and adolescent businesses develop a vision and accelerate growth.
