Enterprise M3 is recruiting for three exciting new posts for its growing team. We are a highly regarded Local Enterprise Partnership working across both Hampshire and Surrey to deliver collaborative economic growth. With a strong reputation across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors and a budget of over £168m to support our activity, we are looking to strengthen our high performing and versatile team through the appointment of a Head of Strategy and Policy, Project Officer for ERDF Technical Assistance and Joint Project Manager for Higher Education.
All three roles will require previous experience in economic development and ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of partners. Our work is fast-paced, diverse and rewarding, providing an opportunity to be involved with inspirational new projects and programmes across the Enterprise M3 area. A proactive, positive approach along with an engaging personal style and a high standard of written work is an essential requirement for all roles.
Head of Strategy and Policy will lead on Enterprise M3’s strategy and policy development. They will also have an influential leadership role in overseeing stakeholder/partner engagement and in developing and coordinating our overall approach to programme design and implementation. The high-level objective will be to ensure that Enterprise M3 has the strategic, policy and operational capabilities to support partners in achieving the economic growth aims and objectives set out in our Strategic Economic Plan. The right candidate will have significant experience of economic development and an understanding of local economic threats and opportunities, as well as an understanding of the aims and vision of the Enterprise M3 LEP, along with the Enterprise M3 Strategic Economic Plan. This post is initially for two years. The two other published posts will report to the Head of Strategy and Policy.
Joint Project Manager for Higher Education will support further development of Enterprise M3’s relationship with its partner universities. We are committed to a close collaboration that recognises the importance of our universities to our economy and in particular the role they play in driving innovation through both their world-leading research and how they support businesses to innovate. The Joint Project Manager will have the central role in taking this relationship forward and maximising opportunities for joint-working to capture national and international investment that supports our key sector and technology strengths. This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to utilise and further develop their already strong relationship management, communication and policy skills in an exciting and fast-developing area that is central to the achievement of Enterprise M3’s economic goals. This post is initially for one year.
Project Officer for European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) will support the development of ERDF funded projects in the Enterprise M3 area. They will work as part of the Enterprise M3 Technical Assistance (TA) Network to deliver support, guidance and partnership engagement for the LEP area. Engaging with and supporting SMEs, universities and business support organisations with the ERDF regulations and the ESIF strategy for the area, and providing general advice, support and information to applicants and project partners on project development, implementation and reporting. The Project Officer will support the development of a pipeline of ERDF projects for the area, to be developed against the agreed priorities of the ERDF Operational Programme. This post is initially for two years.
