Basingstoke Together Business Improvement District seeks Chief Executive

Basingstoke Together, the Business Improvement District (BID) for Basingstoke Town Centre starts work on 1st April 2016. Local businesses voted in overwhelmingly in favour of setting up a BID in November 2015. The BID brings together a wide cross section of businesses from high street retailers and independent shops to world class cultural facilities and the regional offices of major corporates. The aim is make the experience of being in Basingstoke the best possible one for those that already live, work and visit the town, but also for new customers.

Basingstoke Together is now seeking an exceptional candidate with wide ranging experience to manage the BID and to achieve early successes with its planned initiatives. The post will involve managing a small team and working in partnership with key local stakeholders to achieve the objectives of the BID. You will need to have at least three years’ experience of strategic leadership of a business, organisation or partnership and of working with businesses in a town centre environment.
