Tec Hub launched in April 2014 as part of Eastleigh Borough Council’s growing portfolio of creative clusters that includes The Point, the West Wing and The Sorting Office. Located in a wing of Wessex House, Tec Hub supports digital and creative start ups such as gaming and media companies, IT, video and film, app and web designers by offering them a ‘smart space to work, meet, think, create and network’. It was funded through RECREATE, a European funded cross-border initiative of 11 cities and urban areas from northern France and the south and east coast of England – of which Eastleigh was a leading partner - that aimed to transform vacant town centre commercial and cultural spaces and create opportunities for a new generation of creative enterprises.
